24 inches of water can carry away most vehicles

Do not attempt to drive through a flooded road

During a Flood:

  • Avoid Flooded Areas
  • Drive SLOWLY
  • Avoid Driving through water with downed power lines
  • If you get stuck in rising water get out and seek higher ground
  • Pay attention to barricades and instructions from Law Enforcement
  • Avoid entering the flood water if possible, it can be contaminated
  • Do not walk through moving water
  • Do not drive through moving water, or camp or park car near flooded roadways
